Carnoy's Fixative, modified for DNA/RNA analysis

Modified Carnoy's fixative is acidified ethanol. It is readily available, relatively non-toxic and preserves DNA very well and RNA reasonably well. It provides excellent morphology although nuclei may seem larger than nuclei fixed with formalin.
Composition:
75% ethanol
25% glacial acetic acid
